Five Successes

  1. We made sure BAPHL would not be a one-off event.
  2. 15 of 16 teams finished the meta, including all 4 "normal" teams. This might mean the puzzles were too easy, but I'd rather they be too easy than too hard.

Five Problems

  1. No external testsolving.
  2. The metapuzzle was not marked as such, which caused unnecessary confusion.
  3. Puzzle distribution and answer verification system required more volunteers than we actually had, leading to chaos.
  4. The core writing/planning team included only one resident of the Boston area, which put an unfair burden on that resident.
